Meta description: Explore Vecura’s October 5–9 updates: new token-usage filters, 3D density maps, improved H5AD gene-expression viewing, and GIST solvation analysis.
Welcome to What’s New on Vecura, our regular recap of recent platform improvements and scientific capabilities.
This week, Vecura introduces new filters for reviewing token consumption, expands scientific visualisation, and adds GIST for solvation analysis.
Usage
Filter token consumption by project, user, and time range
The Usage tab now lets users filter token-consumption records by project, user, and time range.
These filters make it easier to review usage associated with a particular project or user during a selected period and understand how tokens are being used across research activities.
Access follows workspace roles:
-
Workspace owners and organisation admins can review usage across the entire workspace.
-
Members can review only their own usage.
Scientific Visualisation
Explore density maps alongside molecular structures
Vecura’s density map viewer now displays OpenDX files and zipped NGIST solvation maps in 3D alongside structure outputs.
Researchers can inspect spatial data in the context of the molecular structure, helping them relate features in a map to the surrounding molecular environment.
Browse gene-expression data more easily
Gene-expression viewing for H5AD files has been improved. The gene picker now supports browsing genes from the file’s raw data.
When the expression matrix contains raw counts, values are displayed on a log-normalised scale. These updates make it easier to explore available genes and inspect their expression patterns.
Models and Tools
GIST is now available on Vecura
GIST, short for Grid Inhomogeneous Solvation Theory, analyses solvent structure and thermodynamics around a molecule using molecular dynamics simulation data. It maps local properties of water onto a three-dimensional grid, helping researchers investigate the surrounding hydration environment.
With GIST now available on Vecura and support for viewing its solvation maps in 3D, researchers can analyse and inspect solvation data alongside molecular structures.
Clearer visibility into research activity and results
From reviewing token usage for a specific project or period to exploring molecular maps and gene-expression patterns, this week’s updates help researchers understand both the resources their work uses and the outputs it produces.
