Welcome to What’s New on Vecura, our regular recap of new scientific capabilities and improvements across the platform.

This week, Vecura makes it easier to follow Agent conversations and provide the context the Agent needs to continue a research task. New tools also expand the platform across single-cell genomics, protein and nucleic acid research, therapeutic development, proteomics, and chemistry. In workflows, ReaSyn adds retrosynthesis capabilities, while BoltzMol, Pocket2Mol, and PocketXMol add new options for molecular discovery and generation.

Here is what’s new from August 10 to August 14, 2026.

Agent

Follow Agent progress more clearly

Agent messages now show a timestamp when users hover over them. This provides a clearer view of when a response or action occurred without adding unnecessary detail to the chat interface.

Answer HITL questions with a file

Some human-in-the-loop, or HITL, questions require more context than a text response alone can provide.

Users can now upload a file directly when answering a HITL question. Relevant data or supporting material can stay within the same interaction, helping the Agent continue with the context it needs.

Access database selection from the toolbar

Database selection has moved to a dedicated button in the Agent toolbar.

The new placement keeps source selection within easy reach while creating a cleaner chat input experience. Users can select the databases most relevant to their question before the Agent begins its research.

Models and Tools

Three new tools now available on Vecura

Three additional tools are now available on Vecura, extending the range of research tasks supported across genomics, protein and nucleic acid research, therapeutic development, proteomics, and chemistry.

Antibody and mRNA development

SG-PolyXpert predicts the polyreactivity of therapeutic antibody candidates from sequence, supporting earlier developability assessment.

VaxPress optimizes coding sequences for mRNA vaccines and therapeutics, balancing codon selection with sequence properties relevant to expression and stability.

Proteomics and chemistry

Pyteomics provides tools for common proteomics and mass spectrometry data-analysis tasks, including data access, sequence processing, and mass calculations.

Workflows

Add ReaSyn to retrosynthesis and synthesis planning

The ReaSyn module is now available in Vecura workflows, adding an option for predicting multi-step synthetic pathways for target molecules.

Researchers can use ReaSyn to explore potential reaction sequences and synthesis routes as part of early planning and candidate evaluation.

Expand molecule generation with three new models

Vecura workflows now include three additional models for molecular discovery and generation:

  • BoltzMol supports small-molecule hit discovery through structure- and affinity-informed molecular search and generation.

  • Pocket2Mol generates molecules based on the three-dimensional geometry of a target protein pocket.

  • PocketXMol supports pocket-conditioned molecular generation, including de novo generation, fragment growing, and fragment linking.
