Explore Vecura’s October 26–30 updates: Vee, four new scientific tools, improved tool discovery, job history filters, new themes and more languages.

Meet Vee, explore four new scientific tools, and discover a more personalised research workspace.
Meta description:
Welcome to What’s New on Vecura, our regular recap of recent platform improvements and scientific capabilities.
This week, Vee helps researchers turn scientific questions into practical next steps, while four new tools expand the options for biomolecular research and protein design. Updates to tool discovery and job history make it easier to resume work, and new appearance, language, and time-zone settings help researchers personalise their workspace.
Here is what’s new from October 26 to October 30, 2026.
Agent
Turn research questions into practical next steps with Vee
Vecura’s Agent now has an official public name: Vee.
Vee is designed to help scientists complete computational biology tasks by understanding the intent behind a question, choosing an approach suited to the task, and working towards results aligned with the research goal. It appears as the recommended option in Expert mode and is selected by default for new conversations.
Models and Tools
Return to familiar tools and discover relevant options
The Tools page now includes a For you section that puts recently used tools at the top, highlights the tools you use most, and suggests popular tools that other researchers use for similar tasks. This makes it easier to pick up where you left off and find relevant options for your next analysis.
Vecura continues to add scientific tools so researchers can explore emerging methods and broaden their analyses within the platform. The catalogue lists the newest additions first, with New badges to help you spot them and a live count of available tools.
Four additional scientific tools now available
Vecura has added four tools for exploring biomolecular structures and designing or refining proteins.
BioEmu-2
BioEmu-2 generates ensembles of plausible all-atom biomolecular structures, helping researchers explore multiple conformations. The model supports proteins, nucleic acids, ligands, and multi-chain complexes.
RFD4-Proteina
RFD4-Proteina is a generative model for protein design, with applications spanning proteins, enzymes, binders, and antibodies. It supports design tasks guided by structural requirements.
RFOptimization
RFOptimization supports sequence optimization to help researchers refine existing protein designs.
Prompteina
Prompteina supports all-atom protein structure generation guided by natural-language design objectives, allowing researchers to describe desired properties through text prompts.
Clearer setup for RFD4-Proteina and RFOptimization
RFD4-Proteina includes input checks for contig and structure configurations, including backbone-only requirements.
RFOptimization also checks inputs before submission and provides an optional PoseSelector download. These additions give researchers clearer guidance when preparing their runs.
Job History
Find previous runs faster
The Job history page now includes search alongside tool and status filters.
Researchers can narrow the list to relevant runs, making it easier to locate an earlier analysis or return to results they want to review.
Workspace Experience
Choose an appearance that suits your workspace
New appearance options include Field Notes, Lab Notebook, Culture, and Vibrant.
Users can select their preferred style in Settings → Appearance to personalise how Vecura looks.
Use Vecura in more languages
Vecura’s interface is now available in five additional languages:
-
Korean
-
Traditional Chinese
-
Vietnamese
-
German
-
French
These additions give more researchers the option to navigate the platform in their preferred language.
View dates and times in your preferred time zone
Users can now set a preferred display time zone, with automatic detection also supported.
This makes timestamps easier to interpret when reviewing activity or working across locations.
More ways to explore and organise your research
This week’s updates help researchers move from questions to action with Vee, return to frequently used tools, and explore newly available scientific methods. Improved run search and workspace settings make everyday research tasks easier to organise.
